New to White Lotus Yoga?
Welcome! We’ve got you covered with the tips below to have a successful first yoga experience with us. We look forward to meeting you!
REGISTER IN ADVANCE
Classes fill up and advance registration ensures your spot in class. Register for class on our schedule page by CLICKING HERE or download the Mindbody App by CLICKING HERE. Check-in for all classes at the reception or with your teacher once you arrive at the studio.
PLEASE BE ON TIME
Allow 10 minutes before your first class so you have time to park, find the studio and complete the White Lotus Yoga registration process. Doors to the studio open 15 minutes before each class. To save time fill out our Registration Form Online by CLICKING HERE.
We do not allow late entry for safety reasons. Doors are locked once class starts for the safety of our staff and students. Our apologies for not being able to accommodate late comers.
ATTIRE
Wear comfortable light weight workout clothes that allow for a full range of movement. Shoes are left in the cubbies and the practice is done barefoot. Please refrain from wearing fragrances, as some students are highly sensitive. If you are practicing Aerial Yoga with us, please do not wear any jewelry because it gets caught in the fabric.
WHAT TO BRING
Bring your yoga mat, a bottle of water, and if you are attending a hot flow a small hand towel. We all forget our mats from time to time so we have some to rent for $1 at the front desk. We have props such as bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps available for use on the shelves by the bathrooms free of charge. You will not need props for every class and using them is a personal preference.
STORAGE
Feel free to use the cubbies and hooks in the studio space to store your belongings while in class. Please do not bring any valuable personal belongings into the studio. White Lotus Yoga is not responsible for lost or stolen items nor those items left behind at the studio after class.
CELL PHONES
Yoga is a time to encourage a deeper awareness and connection to your Self. PLEASE silence your cell phone upon entering the studio. Cell phones should not be brought into the yoga room. All cell phone use should be conducted in the lobby.
CLASSES
Classes are labeled as beginner, intermediate, advanced, or all levels to help you find what you’re looking for. We highly encourage you to try out a variety of class styles and teachers.
AVOID EATING BEFORE CLASS
Food interferes with the body’s ability to cleanse and detoxify therefore we suggest that you avoid eating an hour before class.
INJURIES & PREGNANT WOMEN
Always check with your physician before beginning a physical routine. Please inform your teacher of any injuries, health conditions, or if you are pregnant before class so they can offer you any pose modifications or props to make you feel more comfortable.
Bring a friend. Everything is better with a yoga buddy!
Any other questions, please give us a call (586) 752-2700 or send us an e-mail! We look forward to meeting you!
